Job Roles

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) acts as a professional representative of the treatment staff and observes patient activities, maintaining a visible presence on the clients at the treatment center, community housing, and outside activities. The BHT will also circulate throughout the treatment center and community housing facility. The BHT is responsible for driving the company vehicle to ensure clients arrive safely and on time each day for scheduled activities.

 

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and support patients in daily activities 
  • Comply with company policies and  procedures and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations related to job responsibilities
  • Participate as a team member in all team meetings and provide input and information regarding patient needs and requirements
  • Monitor patients when out in the community and regularly take attendance to ensure patient safety
  • Drive patients to and from housing, clinical setting, and outside activities
  • Ensure clients are safe and act within our community standards and regulations when outside of the clinical setting
  • Work as a part of the team, demonstrating professionalism, maturity under stress, and objectivity 
  • Report abuse of patients’ rights immediately 
  • Attend staff and shift meetings
  • Act decisively, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures in emergency situations with staff and patients
  • Regularly monitor urinalysis of patients as needed
  • Document patient progress/regression according to established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with the patient care team if needed

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalent at minimum 
  • Minimum of one year experience in substance use or mental health treatment setting 
  • Ability to work as a team member and acceptance and understanding of sensitive topics and situations
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible 
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and act in accordance with HIPAA in and outside of work 
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards

As a Primary Therapist at  Milton Health, you will play a crucial role in the treatment team, providing individual and group therapy to clients enrolled in our PHP and IOP Program. The Therapist will provide substance abuse/mental health counseling sessions for individuals and groups, as well as provide counseling and clinical interventions to individuals who have experienced trauma, are dual diagnosed, present with a co-occurring disorder, and/or present with a significant health issue.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and family therapy to an assigned caseload of clients. 
  • Conduct group therapy, biopsychosocial assessments screenings, and assist in the admissions process. 
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches. 
  • Participate in daily clinical meetings. 
  • Document all patient-related care in the patient electronic record in a timely manner. 
  • The Therapist will work collaboratively with internal and external case managers and other support service providers in the development of an aftercare plan that will facilitate recovery, wellness and overall self-sufficiency. 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents. 
  • Ensure treatment documentation meets agency and professional standards per AHCA, DCF and Joint Commission.
  • Maintain professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality. 

Qualifications: 

  • Licensed Clinician (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) or Registered Intern in the state of Florida.
  • +1 year of experience working with individuals with a mental health and substance abuse diagnosis.
  • Bilingual Preferred
  • Experience in group facilitation and working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-versed in a variety of evidence-based modalities (e.g. DBT, CBT, MI).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Proficiency with EMRs, LOCUS, ASAM, AHCA, DCF, and Joint Commission.
  • Level 2 Background Check and Drug Test required.

The Case Manager role consists of being an integral part of the treatment team for patients by developing an aftercare and discharge plan, completion of FMLA, return to work letters, and legal matters that patients may be facing. You will be a key player in the treatment team for each patient and will also meet with them periodically to assess their case management needs and their goals for when they leave our care. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Assessing patient needs and developing strategies to help the patient while in treatment
  • Collect patient signatures on needed documentation
  • Assesses the psychosocial needs of the patient and provides intervention as part of the discharge planning process
  • Liaising with government entities and personnel as needed to assist in the handling of legal matters
  • Work with the patient, family, and friend support networks and other members of the care team to craft the discharge and aftercare plan
  • Providing local resources for patients for aftercare outside of the continuum of care
  • Proper record keeping of patient meetings, referrals, and updates to care or legal matters
  • Evaluating clients’ progress periodically and making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes
  • Following up with discharged clients to ensure they were satisfied with services and they are still in good mental health and abstinent from substances
  • Any other duties or tasks requested by the supervisor or upper management

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the behavioral health care field, specifically within case management
  • Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws

The Group Facilitator will provide groups for the healing and recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. By providing groups that help to further clinical plans you will help patients explore and empower themselves while receiving healthy peer involvement and support. Overall, this position offers a compassionate and experienced guide in the journey of mental health and substance use recovery, promoting positivity and individualized care.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in providing clinical support to clients in the form of group therapy by using evidence-based and best-practice techniques
  • Assist in providing clinical support to clients in line with their treatment goals, as needed
  • Follow documentation guidelines and be compliant with licensing and organizational standards
  • Follow standards in alignment with DCF, Joint Commission, and AHCA in regard to policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Effectively communicate relevant clinical information to the clinical team and interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based treatment modalities

Requirements & Qualifications

The Admissions Representative will be responsible for working directly with prospective patients/clients and families on inquiry/intake calls, coordinating patient screenings and admissions. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, work well in a team-based environment, have strong computer skills, and most of all, have a desire to help others.



Job Duties:

  • Answers inquiry calls efficiently and courteously
  • Responds to web form inquiries for prospective patients
  • Responds to online chat inquiries and request appropriate information to transfer the perspective individual to a phone call
  • Answers any questions callers may have that are of a non-clinical nature

As the Alumni Director at Milton Recovery Centers, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and empowering community for individuals who have successfully completed our programs. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with alumni, providing ongoing support, organizing events, and implementing initiatives aimed at promoting long-term recovery and well-being.



Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with program alumni through regular communication via phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings.
  • Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and resources to alumni as they navigate life after treatment.
  • Act as a liaison between alumni and the treatment facility, addressing any concerns or needs that may arise.
  • Plan, organize, and execute regular alumni events, such as reunions, workshops, support groups, and recreational activities.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure events are well-coordinated and aligned with the needs and interests of alumni.
  • Develop and implement initiatives, such as mentorship programs, educational workshops, and volunteer opportunities, to enhance the alumni experience and promote sustained recovery.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related preference or experience equivalent in the behavioral health space.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the addiction recovery field, with a focus on alumni relations or community outreach.
  • Strong understanding of addiction recovery principles, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and build trust and rapport.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute events, manage projects, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Personal experience with addiction recovery and/or affiliation with 12-step programs is highly desirable.

 

The Housekeeping Staff plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our treatment center and associated housing, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our clients and staff. This position is responsible for performing various cleaning tasks to uphold our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.



Job Duties:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the treatment center, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces. Ensure that all common areas, client rooms, bathrooms, and offices are clean and sanitized according to established protocols.
  • Collect, sort, and launder linens, towels, and other fabrics used in client rooms and common areas. Ensure that all laundry is washed, dried, folded, and stored properly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other housekeeping materials. Replenish supplies as needed to ensure that all areas of the treatment center are adequately stocked and prepared for daily use.
  • Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with facility guidelines and regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in trash disposal areas to minimize odors and prevent contamination.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the treatment center to the appropriate personnel. Assist with minor maintenance tasks as assigned to ensure the safety and functionality of facilities and equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and the spread of infectious diseases. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere to infection control guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure that housekeeping duties are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
